I keep receiving the "Close game to receive update" error

The error appears when you are blocking Cabal from using the internet connection properly or running it with restricted access privileges.
To fix this please make sure that :

1) You run the game from an administrator PC account (not Guest, not Power User, not any other type of account)
2) Make sure the firewall and router are not blocking connectivity (make sure your ports are open in the router and that you have added the cabalmain.exe to the exception list of the firewall)
3) Check the antivirus to make sure it's not blocking GameGuard or Cabal. (many antiviruses have firewall options like described at point 2)
4) Make sure you don't have any software that blocks GameGuard (such as Outpost Firewall, Panda antivirus, PunkBuster, Windows Sidebars, Avira antivirus , etc)

Note for point 4 : In order to be 100% sure that it’s not a random software blocking Cabal, please upload a screenshot of the Task Manager -> Processes tab to www.imageshack.us and provide me the link, so that I can see which running software is blocking Cabal, when you submit the ticket.
