How to report a suspected "bot" (automated character without person behind character)
Solution
Games-Masters.com take a tough stance on all users who play the game illegally and gain an unfair advantage by using third party software. "Botting" is one of the most common ways of cheating on CABAL Online and results in a permanant ban. While we are active in developing ways to stop these bots from working, we rely heavily on our ingame users to inform us of suspected "bots". A suspected "bot" can be identified in several ways:
Often they disconnect when you get near them
They are unresponsive (though a person who does not reply to you is not necessarily a bot)
They rarely pick up gold or other drops OR they pick up drops from a distance
They act in a pre-defined way
These are just some of the main characteristics to look out for in your fellow players.
If you believe you have spotted a user which matches this criteria, please contact us directly by creating a support ticket. We require the name, server and if possible a screenshot or movie of the botter in action. While the screenshot and movie is not required, it can help us in our investigations.
We would like to thank those who report into us for their hard work. Together we can make Nevareth a fairer and cheat free place.
Where to report a suspected bot
Go to support.cabalonline.com. Press
Submit Ticket
. Choose
Bot Reports/Detectives
department. In the opened form fill in the name of the cheater, the server he was on and the evidence of him that you have.
NOTE: Please DO NOT report cheaters or post their names as a comment to this article or on the forum. Use a Support Ticket for that only.

humm about " they rarely pick up gold or other drops " this is only for ppl using bots while afk, but alz sellers bots always pick up gold and item, the items is then sold by the bot itself.

*they start attacking mob when it is invisible(when a mob spawns it becomes visible within ~1 sec, bots can attack it at the same millisecond when it spawned)

This article is just not useful because in my opinion bots just don't get banned fast enough. Most players don't report bots because they don't believe it will do any good, because even after reporting, bots stay on for weeks and more. Also, if you ban bots fast enough, there will be no point in using bots, since you won't be able to get a character high-level enough in time, because you will be banned soon.
So in general, my suggestion is - Ban FAST

Nowadays, bots never disconnect when you approach them.
And there are functions on bots, that makes them take everything that drops in selected range.
The Skill visualisation moves when they attack, because the bot reacts a new monster before the skill is done, and the character moves while attacking. ( Best Identification Tips! )
They move in a specified range. and ALWAYS returning when it detects no monsters in the selected range. Many users use to have a huge range to make the bot harder to find. BUT, it 1% chance that it might return to chosen botpoint. IF they have huge range, the bot tries to attack a monster that is behind some kind of obstacle. It rarely succeeds, so it returns to botpoint.
a good thing to know is that if a Bot approaches a monster and returns to a monster just behind itself, its 70% chance that is a bot.
While looting, Ranged characters HAVE to go closer to monster to recieve their loot.
Some bots have a function of have a "Loot Range". It can loot from a specified range, that can be chosen by the botter.
IF you see a character using a ranged skill (last blow) and you see the loot from approx. 10 range and they move 2 ranges closer and loots it.
------IT IS 100% A BOTTER NO EXCEPTIONS.------
(the range calculations is common sense, a char cant loot from a far distance.)
Mostly of the bots nowadays use a function called "Packed Bag".
Makes every item take "1" space in inventory. ( can easily be detected by watching a bot looting continously for 1 hours of drops or more )
I hope that The Cabal staff will use my advices to prevent bots. And I will never let go of fighting bots!
Our final goal is a Bot-Free Cabal Online!

Great guide, but it does not mention a few things:
1: images appended must be in TGA format, other ways the system does not accept them.
2: There is no maximum size mentioned for screen capture videos. I tried to append a 20 MB file, but it did not receive it. If the size is maxed to 10 MB, it should be mentioned.

Best way to make sure that suspected person is bot is attacking him (notkill just attack once or twice). If you wont see any reaction that means he is botter.

"a person who does not reply to you is not necessarily a bot" well if they are really playing they say something when we talk to them even to say "piss of, or dont steal my kill"

Is it worth posting links to imageshack where i uploaded screenshots of suspected botters/hackers/acc sellers or do Gm's avoid all links in tickts,Is it mandatory for me to upload in TGA format.is that the only way i can prove.or is it allowed.i think so cuz the only way to see a video of the suspect is by clicking the link for utube.

Lot of bots can respawn in the same place, where You have killed it (they are still running, but without nick over the head).
On FB You can use unmovable debuff. If "player" can run with it - it's bot ;/

why do i see bots they i reported 3 month ago? now i see them in UG, as i reported them they as in PL with lvl ~50, now the are lvl ~90... thats strange...
i think we need an easier way to report botter.
where is the problem to make a list, in which users can report botters, and when ~100 reports get, check/block the char.

Think a little,if we add bots button the others can report a normal player...and I don't think is posible but think a little how to detect a bot,he always have a yellow title or nontitle oo and he is in beginerguild, and good points if you are in ch 13+ try to kill him and he won't die 0HP but stil alive and regenrating and most of the bots use 1 skill buff

or cabal staff can collaborate with some trusted players who can ban those boots. (because the GM and other who can ban characters are not online all the time)
